Well done to everyone who managed to put a comment on to the blog. Great feedback for teachers.
I'm impressed with your clear thinking and the way you have explained the things you liked and why you liked them. Some people have even made positive comments about how well you worked in your investigation teams. Excellent work.
Thanks for a great day Mr H. The best thing that we did was making the wine glass sing.

doing sound was realy fun we learnt alot of things about sound.
ReplyDeleteand we learnt how to brake the speed of sound with a balloon.

What we need to make a sound
ReplyDeletewhat we saw - what we think
water vibrating, water level change the sound, I felt vibrations on my ear, different sizes of things make different sounds, waves, ripples, pattern
Test things they want to know about, investigate, explore ideas and things, cooperate, take risks, investigate the elements, never give up, determined, hypothesis, Ideas about why, achieve, classifying putting things into, brainstorm, observation, explode things.
ReplyDeleteWhat we saw in the water in the wine glass when it sang: vibrating, ripples, little wave patterns, fizzing, wobbling water.

That was really cool, we learned to make these really cool kazoo things which made an awesome buzzing sound. I also liked making my own music, I had a great group of people, we put the right amount of water in some bottles so that when we blew across the top they made perfect notes for Mary had a Little Lamb, and I made an awesome guitar thing out of a tin can and a few rubber bands!

Sound was really fun! I really liked getting together as a group and making instruments because we cooperated very well and it was my favourite subject of the science we did!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite experiment was the homemade telephones. We made them by getting 2 tin can and poking a hole through the bottom big enough for string to fit through then make th sting tight and talk. FUN!

Thanks for an amazing! day Mr H and Mr S it was really fun but the thing i enjoyed the most was definatly making the straw cazoo thing and the telephones that was made out of jars and string. It was really fun and my favourite science activity out of all the classes :)
ReplyDeleteI had lots of fun and we learned how to make music out of old recycled things,(bottles, tin cans etc)I really enjoyed making music!
ReplyDeleteThank-you Rm 19!!
Maisie, Rm 2
sound was really fun my favorite part was when we got to make music out of the different things that we made that day. the most interesting part was watching the videos of people breaking the speed of sound.
ReplyDeleteWe learned how to make a phone out of string and cans but Matthew Penno had a magnificent idea of making a four way telephone.
ReplyDeleteSo we learned quite a lot of things

i thought it was magnificent
ReplyDeleteAnnika, Hanna & Gabriella worked really well with me

I really liked the youtube clip with the moving sand. It was amazing and like magic.

I think the coolest part of the day was the straw kazoos because I learnt about vibration making sound and different lengths making a higher or lower tone. by james
ReplyDeleteI learn t how many skills a scientist has
ReplyDeletee.g. patience and safety.
I was surprised at how easy it was to make the straw ca-zoos.
i had no new ideas
the singing wine glass
getting the wine glass to sing
from anonymous...
I learnt how to make music with different objects like straws, Bottles and rubber bands.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised when using the tuning fork because the vibrations and sound.
My favourite experiment was making a band with cool stuff. My band was a Kuz-zoo band but it wasn't Kaz-zoos that we used, We used straws.
I had an awesome time.

I lerned in room 19 was you can use a fork as a fork as a flute.I found the tissue thing hard.My favorite experiment was the singing glass.I lerned that you can use a ruller to make music with out breaking it.My ideas in the tuning fork was to hit the fork harder.
ReplyDeleteI learnt how to do the singing wineglass trick and I showed my family. My brothers were amazed!
ReplyDeleteI found out that the sound was higher when there was less water, and lower when there was more.
It was really cool!
